Railsback Frères began as a rosé project in 2015 by brothers Lyle and Eric Railsback, who call their rosé Les Rascasses (scorpion fish in French) as an homage to their favorite Bandol rosé in Provence. Lyle worked for French importer Kermit Lynch for twelve years before leaving to work with his brother. Eric had found Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault grapes in Santa Ynez, and together they produced their first traditional Bandol: direct-to-press, aged in old wood, with the malolactic process (for buttery taste) completed. We also stock Railsback’s Grenache Noir, and most recent label, Roman Ceremony, which began as a small production for a local Michelin restaurant.
