November 2022 – Our wine merchant, Niesa Granger, has a vast knowledge of natural and organic wines, and a fantastic palate. Her expertise is no secret, and she’s built our wine department into a destination for natural wine lovers in southern Marin.
We look forward to Niesa’s Thanksgiving wine picks each year, always impressive and delightful additions to our holiday table. This year, we are featuring two vintners: Railsback Frères in California’s Santa Ynez Valley, and Domaine Tardieux-Gal from the Loire Valley in France.
DOMESTIC
Railsback Frères began as a rosé project in 2014 by brothers Lyle and Eric Railsback. Lyle did National Sales for French importer Kermit Lynch for twelve years before leaving to focus on the Santa Ynez project. His brother Eric started Lieu Dit wines in Santa Barbara, inspired by wines of the Loire Valley.
