Domingo Morales is our deli prep specialist. When Adam Driver, our co-founder, offered him a job at Driver’s two years ago, Domingo was working for Sushi Ran, the famous sushi restaurant half a block away from Driver’s. He was reluctant to give up his job, so he took Adam’s offer as his second job.
Domingo is responsible for prepping ingredients for our deli sandwiches, juices, smoothies and many of the salads in our deli case. He brings an impressive combination of skill, creativity, and work ethic that sets the tone for our deli prep team. Adam described him as one of the store’s hardest-working and most diligent employees. He always comes on time. “I like working here,” Domingo says. What really draws him to Driver’s are the people he is working with and the food. His favorite? The deli counter’s North Bay Sandwich: Roast beef, melted cheddar, horseradish crème fraîche, red onion and roasted red peppers on a warm Sour Flour roll.
