Summer wines for sunny days and foggy nights

July 2023 – Summer in Sausalito is beautiful – but nights get so cold! When it comes to wine, a refreshing and versatile selection is key. Our wine list can take you from a sunny afternoon, to evening when the fog rolls in. For warm days, a crisp white like Kumusha’s chenin blanc can be incredibly satisfying. At sunset, when the temperatures cool, natural co-ferments are delightful, slightly unpredictable, and always beautiful. We selected two co-fermented wines, which are made with multiple varieties fermented in one vessel: Mixed Emotions and Lewandowski’s rosé cuvée. You’ll find that Companion’s canned white is just right for a hike, and Scribe’s bottle cap pét-nat is perfect for a picnic. At the end of the day, curl up with a big glass of Ashes & Diamonds and watch the fog roll in over the hills. Whether you’re out on the deck or gathered around a bonfire, these bottles will enhance your summer in the Bay.
