June 2025 – New at Driver’s! Our frozen department now features a dedicated seafood section with fish from sustainable local luminary TwoXSea. Founder Kenny Belov, also co-owner of Fish here in Sausalito, is deeply committed to sustainable fishing practices, and has built his businesses around improving the industry. He can even tell you which boat caught the fish you’re purchasing, and he stands by fair pay for his workers. TwoXSea harvests cause no habitat destruction, no bycatch (loss of marine life through incidental catch), and are as local as possible.

In addition to novel sustainability practices, TwoXSea fish is sashimi-grade, and frozen at harvest to maintain freshness. Fill your freezer with a variety to have on hand for your convenience.

Almost all “fresh” fish that we buy at grocery stores and in restaurants is flash frozen and, when it thaws in grocery displays, loses freshness by the hour. Keeping your TwoXSea fish frozen until it’s time to use it is the ideal way to preserve freshness. There are many ways to prepare these prime fillets, but always be sure to defrost the packets in your fridge – never in running water or at room temperature. That is key!
