On a historic Gravenstein apple orchard on the Pomo Tierra Ranch collective, Bob “Bernie” Bernstein produces Gravenstein cider, vinegar and applesauce with intense apple flavor. He is a mainstay at the Berkeley Farmers Market, making the trek from Yorkville to the East Bay for decades. According to Bernie, “The hot summer days and cool nights of Mendocino County, along with our dry farming practices, help us produce some of the finest apples in the country.”
