Mad Dandy

During lockdown, Mad Dandy co-founder Marty Friedman was drinking five coffees a day. Hoping to cut his caffeine intake, he began to research coffee brewed from dandelion and mushroom. He loved that these drinks were rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, but didn’t care for the brands he tried. He began sourcing his own ingredients and tinkering with flavor profiles, eventually finding a recipe he loved. Marty offered a mug to Josh Denberg, a close friend and seasoned advertising executive. Josh loved the drink and suggested that with the right marketing plan it could be a success. When they brought on their friend Eric Toizer, a retired investment banker, the three were in business. Mad Dandy launched in Marin in 2023.
